Experience the fun and excitement of Cache Rapids Stable’s Horseback Riding Camps. The camps run Monday to Friday during the summer months.
Overnight camps offer five days and four nights of fun, activity and excitement. Campers learn the basics of caring, grooming and riding horses. The camp includes Western Riding Lessons, stable management, trail rides, horse driving, activities, swimming and a horse show on Friday afternoon. All meals and snacks are included and campers stay in bunkhouse style accommodations. A swimming pool is on site to cool off on hot days.
Day camps run Monday to Friday from 9 am. to 4 pm. and include lunch and snacks. Beginners will learn the basis of caring, grooming and riding horses. Instruction and skill development are a major part of the camp program, which is based on the Equine Canada Learn to Ride Program.
Riding helmets are provided. Campers must wear a boot with a minimum of a half inch heel and rubber boots and rain gear is recommended in case of inclement weather.
Campers from ages of 8 to 16 years are accepted. The campers are divided into groups of 6, depending on their age, riding level and if they have other friends at camp. There is one instructor for each 6 children for riding instruction. Children are exposed to a safe and challenging experience with positive guidance which promotes competence and confidence.
